The people at the center of this network are neighbors who have committed to ecological restoration and community leadership: trained, witnessed by their peers, and recognized members of the Holon Gardens network. Whether you are starting your first garden or leading a regional initiative, joining them means joining a movement of people who keep the ground they live on.

Work at our Nursery Nodes propagating native plants from seed. Learn seed collection, cleaning, stratification, and potting techniques while growing the plant stock for all restoration projects.
Represent Holon Foundation at community events, farmer's markets, and neighborhood councils. Share our mission in English and Spanish to recruit new stewards and build partnerships.
Document restoration work with professional-quality photos. Capture before/after transformations, volunteer events, and ecological details for grant reports and social media.
Conduct plant and wildlife identification surveys at conservation sites. Use iNaturalist and eBird to log biodiversity data that informs restoration planning and measures ecological impact.
Help digitize and manage ecological data collected during monitoring sessions. Enter species lists, soil test results, and site measurements into our Trust Portal database.
Plan and lead community planting days, training sessions, and neighborhood walks. Manage logistics, volunteer assignments, safety briefings, and post-event reporting.
Translate website content, volunteer materials, and community communications between English, Spanish, and Italian. Help make our mission accessible to Houston's diverse communities.
Research funding opportunities and draft compelling grant proposals. Help secure resources for native plant programs, community events, and steward training initiatives.
Contribute to holonfoundation.org development. Help build interactive features, improve accessibility, and maintain the Trust Portal that powers our community network.
